dear lonely..

I forgot to post but, I was able to do the task assigned to me yesterday at work, which is to create a maintenance (add, edit, delete) for a library (table).

I did data centric classes written in Java, user interface/front-end is JSP, servlets for each functionality. Oh, PL/SQL for database. I was done in 7 hours including testing. Also take in consideration small snack breaks and slow loading of the web page. And it was rapid prototyping because I have the basic template.

This is just a practice for us, ‘cause we are still building up the whole prototype to migrate from VB.Net + PL/SQL to Java + Oracle. But still, I was very happy to be able to finish the task :)

This really ain’t my first post on programming, I just forget to put titles on my posts.

Anyway, I’m starting to do my Software Engineering project, which is a Sales and Inventory System for a Laundry Mat. I’m using VB.Net 2008 as front-end and MS Access 2007 as back-end.

I’m studying about MDI Forms :)

I can haz progress!

I already got the log in working and I’m able to display child forms in the right side panel of the mdi parent form :)

Oh please, when I’m already able to figure things out, then you start helping me.

I’m still mad at you.

Alright~ Everything I did last Monday was scrapped by my boyfriend and he had me start on a clean slate. Because the code I used, even though it is working fine, is not the same with what he used before. Hey, everyone has a unique way of solving things.

Anyhow, I stopped obsessing myself with MDI forms for a while and that dilemma and focus on the important things: Maintenance!  By maintenance, I’m pertaining to Add, Edit, Delete, and Search functions in my program.

I’m already done with Add, after having to solve a roadblock, which I discovered is not an error with the code but in the database itself. I forgot to use the correct copy :/

Because of the dilemma, I have to catch up with my planned schedule. I should be working on the customer maintenance now :/

So, gtg back to coding ^^
